🎬 Join us for a spooktacular afternoon of cinematic enchantment at our Community Cinema's Halloween-themed event! Immerse yourself in the heart-warming and fantastical world of "Coco," as we celebrate the spirit of the season. 🎃
🌟 Set against the backdrop of Dia de los Muertos, "Coco" is a vibrant and touching animated film that follows the journey of Miguel, a young aspiring musician, as he ventures into the Land of the Dead to uncover his family's hidden history. As the colourful marigold petals pave the way, you and your loved ones will be captivated by the stunning visuals and heartfelt storytelling that intertwines themes of family, memory, and the power of traditions.
🍂 Embrace the Halloween spirit with our carefully curated event that combines the magic of cinema with the thrill of the season. Come dressed in your favourite costumes (optional) and relish the joy of sharing laughter, chills, and unforgettable moments with fellow movie enthusiasts in Northstowe. Get ready to be transported to a world where music bridges the gap between the living and the departed, and where love and remembrance take centre stage.
🎟️ Mark your calendars for October half term and join us for an afternoon that promises not only a delightful cinematic experience but also a sense of community and togetherness. Bring your friends and family as we celebrate the magic of "Coco"!
🪑 You’re more than welcome to bring your kid's favourite mat, blanket, cushion, bean bag etc to crash out on at the front of the auditorium for the ultimate cosy viewing! There’s plenty of space for the youngsters to chillax in front of the regular tiered seating. Just bring soft and squidgy stuff – no deckchairs or patio furniture!
🍫 There’s also the Snack Stall on the way in to visit – sweets, popcorn, crisps, choccy bars and juice cartons will all be on offer (cash only). The Snack Stall is raising money directly for the Northstowe Secondary College Go Kart Club.
This is our first pilot event for Northstowe Community Cinema: your attendance will help us keep the initiative going and plan more film screenings in the coming months. If you would like to suggest a film or a theme for the next screening, please email hello@northstowearts.co.uk.
We're really grateful to Cinema for All for supporting us through this first screening, with coaching and a bursary provided by The National Lottery via the BFI
Coco is a PG (Parental Guidance) film: some scenes may be unsuitable for young children.
The Theatre at Northstowe Secondary College is fully wheelchair-accessible, with flat floor access through to the auditorium and disabled toilets available. There are blue badge parking spaces near the main entrance.
Please email hello@northstowearts.co.uk to discuss your access needs and we'll do our best to make your Northstowe Community Cinema experience an enjoyable one!
We encourage you to cycle or walk to Northstowe Secondary College (there are plenty of bike racks to secure your bikes outside, and a scooter/buggy parking area in the foyer). Let's demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility by travelling to this event sustainably!
